Third Year Residents
Nastaran Ahmadi, M.D.
Status: PGY-3 Medical School: Saba University School of Medicine I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. My family and I had to migrate to Iran and Pakistan, before we made our way to Canada in 2008. I lived in Sherbrook, Ottawa, Toronto, and multiple cities in the US since then. I am thrilled to spend the next few years of my life here in Canton. I was always drawn to medicine, specifically family medicine. I worked at a multi-disciplinary clinic for a year as a medical assistant, where I truly found my passion for medicine. I attended University of Ottawa for my undergraduate degree in Biomedical science, with the dream to apply to medical schools. Saba University School of Medicine gave me the opportunity to fulfill that dream. During my clinical rotations, I had heard a lot of great feedback from my fellow students about the FM elective rotation at Aultman. I finally had the privilege of working here as a student and realized what the hype was all about! From the moment I walked in for my orientation day until the last day of my rotation, I felt welcomed and at home. The residents were friendly and happy to teach and help. I knew that it was a great learning environment. The variety of pathology and patient population coming into the office gives a great opportunity to have a versatile clinical experience throughout residency. The knowledge and enthusiasm of the faculty members is incredible. I am confident that I will achieve my goals to become a competent, well-rounded physician here. Outside of medicine, I enjoy hiking, painting, cooking, exploring different local restaurants and breweries. I look forward to explore Canton and the surroundings with my husband and co-residents.

Foyinsola Amoye, M.D.
Status: PGY-3, Chief Medical School: Saba University School of Medicine I was born in Lagos, Nigeria and in my journey to becoming a Family Physician, I have found myself in so many wonderful places from the United Kingdom, to the Caribbean and to my utmost delight Canton, Ohio. The journey to starting my Family Medicine training seemed so long, but before I knew it, interview season came around. It was proving to be a successful season for me, but somehow, as the season neared the end, I wondered if I would find a place that just fit me, you know? Thankfully, I found exactly that and more at Aultman Hospital. There was and still is a tangible warmth, an inspiring humility and welcoming spirit here that pulled me in from the very first day. In the short time I have been here, I feel encouraged in my weaknesses and supported in my goals and aspirations. I really could never have asked for anything better. I look forward to growing even more with my Family Medicine family here at Aultman Hospital.

Tyson Cochran, M.D.
Status: PGY-3 Medical School: Saba University School of Medicine I was born and raised in Shelton, WA and grew up spending my time in the outdoors. I attended BYU-Idaho where I received my bachelors in Public Health. After graduation I spent a year working in the Emergency room part time and at an inpatient psychiatric facility before attending medical school at Saba University. Immediately after graduation until I started residency, I worked as a unit secretary and telemetry monitor technician. When it came time to pick a program for residency I initially struggled, until I decided to simply base it off how I felt with the people. After reflecting on this it was very easy for me to decide that Aultman was going to be a good experience for me, because I believe that people here really care about me and all of our patients.

Katharine Greenland, D.O.
Status: PGY-3 Medical School: Liberty University College of Otheopathic Medicine I was born in Virginia, but I spent much of my childhood growing up in Toledo, Ohio. My family moved around a lot as I got older, but Ohio always felt like our foundation and I kept being drawn back here. I attended Miami University of Ohio for undergrad where I majored in Botany and Medical Laboratory Science. While at school I met my husband, Chris and for a while we lived together in Cincinnati where I worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. However, I kept yearning to know more and have a more active role in the healthcare team, so I decided to apply to medical school. I attended medical school at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Chris is originally from Dover, Ohio just south of here and when it came time to look for a residency, we knew that we wanted to settle somewhere close to family. So, I started to search for Family Medicine residencies throughout the Northeast Ohio region. During my search I started to notice a theme: people kept talking about Aultman Hospital. When I came to interview here it was clear to me that this program was different. The faculty and staff are warm, compassionate, and supportive as well as wholly engaged in teaching the residents. Everyone here wants to see you succeed and help you do so. Between the location and the general culture of the Family Medicine program I knew that Aultman was the right choice for me and I was thrilled when I found out I matched here. Outside of work, my hobbies include spending time with my husband and our dog, Sadie as well as gardening. We have quite a few plants both indoors and outdoors and my botanical interests are always evolving. I also enjoy walking, hiking, and swimming when I have the chance.

Bharti Gupta, M.D.
Status: PGY-3, Chief Medical School: Saba University School of Medicine I was born and raised in and around Toronto, Canada. Growing up there were numerous experiences that piqued my interest in medicine, but the most significant was being employed as a Medical Assistant at a family practice. The most endearing quality of family medicine is the intrinsic union between medicine and society. I value building and strengthening long-term relationships and truly see this as a foundation of effective patient-centered medicine. I was mesmerized by the physician’s ability to balance the needs of patients and their families regardless of acuity, speciality or demographic. I understood the privileged position family physicians have in providing continuity of care and truly cultivating a therapeutic alliance with their patients through trust, communication and education. This experience solidified my decision in pursuing a career in Family Medicine. I am passionate about providing broad spectrum care, and particularly excited to focus on preventive medicine, behavioral health and chronic disease management. I was introduced to the Family Medicine Residency at Aultman Hospital during my medical school clerkships and I was immediately drawn to the program. The faculty, residents and staff are kind and supportive in their interactions, dedicated to teaching and learning, and genuinely passionate about medicine and providing high-quality care to patients. I can envision myself growing and thriving at Aultman, not only as a competent future clinician, but as a person. I am grateful to be a part of the Aultman family and beyond excited to call Canton my home for the next few years! Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, spending time outdoors, staying active, reading, cooking and baking, and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

Mena Habib Morcos, M.D.
Status: PGY-3 Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine I was born in North Carolina, spent most of my childhood in the Middle East and moved to Toronto, Canada when I was 15. I finished high school and college there and then I went to Medical School at Ross University in Dominica. I chose Family Medicine because I love being able to meet the needs of individuals, their families, and their communities. I believe that doctors can make an impact beyond the exam room. After coming to Aultman I knew it allowed for exactly that. During my interview I was impressed with the faculty's passion for teaching and the options available here to develop a variety of skills. The faculty are the most approachable I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I am confident that my experiences here will contribute to my formation as a great family physician. Outside of medicine I like to go to Church, take road trips, visit new places and hang out with friends.

Erik Keim, M.D.
Status: PGY-3 Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine I was born and raised in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, a suburb on the eastern side of Cleveland. After graduating from Chagrin Falls High School, I attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio where I majored in Political Science. I then attended Ross University School of Medicine and had the fortunate opportunity to rotate at Aultman’s Family Medicine Program during my fourth year in Medical School. I was drawn to Aultman’s program because of the team-based atmosphere between the residents and the attendings with a primary focus on improving medical knowledge and skills to help eliminate suffering and eradicating disease of the local population. What set Aultman apart for me from other programs was the positive experiences I already experienced with the program during my rotation and the focus on outpatient medicine. I also felt that Aultman offered the opportunity to learn about practical, cost effective medicine in a very high-risk patient population. I am thrilled to have matched at Aultman and excited for all of the experiences and knowledge I will learn from experienced, practical providers in the field.
