Aultman Family Medicine Residency Program
Welcome Message From Our Program Director
Thank you for visiting with us on our website! The Aultman Family Medicine Residency is an ACGME-accredited program whose vision is to deliver exceptional healthcare in a patient-centered medical home through education, collaboration, and respect. We have strived to develop an educational program that will provide our residents with a comprehensive experience in the full breadth of family medicine. We have a fully implemented Electronic Health Record and have become much more proficient in its use in both the outpatient and inpatient care, improving the quality of our patient care.
Our curriculum balances a strong inpatient service with outstanding care in the Family Medicine Center. Our excellent team consists of nurses, MAs, front office personnel, coders, care coordinators, pharmacists, nurse practitioner, behavioral health consultants, and prescription assistance to assist in providing outstanding care to our patient population. Our primary practice is a Federally-Qualified Health Center and a Patient-Centered Medical Home that is located on-site, adjacent to the hospital. Our faculty and outside private physician preceptors are dedicated to teaching residents the complicated tasks of providing quality outpatient care for chronic medical conditions, preventative care and mental health. Our residents also have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement projects. We continue to implement new initiatives, such as point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) training.
Aultman Hospital is a 1032 bed hospital system serving Stark, Carroll, Wayne, Holmes, and Tuscarawas counties. We have achieved national recognition for our outstanding clinical care. We are a resident friendly setting and seek to provide individualized resident educational goals while providing an outstanding overall experience in Family Medicine. We work closely with our colleagues and residents in OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, and Cardiology Fellows, as well as joint teaching conferences.
We are very excited by your interest in the program and are pleased to provide you with additional information about the educational opportunities here at the Aultman Family Medicine Program! I hope that I will have the opportunity to meet and talk with you in the near future about the many opportunities that we can provide.
With Best Regards,
Roger Musa, M.D.
